CCDAAG ran a Poster competition for P7 children in Local Primary Schools in April this year. We invited the children to take part in an artwork competition to design a poster highlighting the hazards of alcohol and the dangers to the body.
We received over 100 entries from the Central, Model, Victoria and Whitehead Primary Schools, all of which were of a very high standard and portrayed some interesting insight in to how different children perceive the harm that alcohol not only does to the body but also to families.
An array of the colourful posters was displayed in the Civic Centre in Carrickfergus for one week before the top 5 winners were presented with their prizes by the Mayor, Alderman David Hilditch on 5 June 2006 at the Civic Centre.
