In addition to the services offered by CCDAAG, the following drug & alcohol services are available to residents from the Carrickfergus Borough:
- Alcoholics Anonymous (9043 4848): meets in Woodburn Community Centre, Woodburn Road, Carrickfergus on Sunday, Wednesday & Friday evenings at 8.30pm. Please ring the above number to speak to the local contact person.
- Al Anon (9068 2368): a support group for families and friends of problem drinkers, this meets in Gloucester Park Centre, Gloucester Avenue, Larne on Sunday & Thursday evenings at 8pm. Please ring the above number to speak to a local contact person.
- Carlisle House (9032 8308): a residential substance misuse treatment centre which provides a range of services for clients and their families. For more information on this services contact the number above or visit the website www.carlislehouse.org
- Community Addiction Service (2565 8462): a treatment service for those experiencing problems with their drug &/or alcohol use. Clinics are available on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Carrickfergus by appointment. Referrals to this service are accepted from GP's, hospital doctors or consultants. - The Young People's Counselling Service (2565 2105): this service is available in Carrickfergus on an outreach basis. It is available to young people between the ages of 8 and 25 who have developed a problem or who are worried about substance misuse issues, and to parents / carers concerned about the impact of substance misuse on their families.
