October:
New Strategic Direction for Alcohol & Drugs (http://www.dhsspsni.gov.uk/nsdad-finalversion-may06.pdf): This strategy lays out the coordinated strategic direction for addressing alcohol & drug misuse in Northern Ireland over the next five years. Its structures are implemented as of the 2nd October, 2006.
Whitehead Community Information Event: this event will raise awareness of local drug & alcohol services and provide the community with an opportunity to access information and ask questions. The event will take place on the 13th of October (7-9pm) in the Castleview Pavilion, Whitehead.
CCDAAG AGM- this event will be held on the 23rd of October in the Waterfont, Carrickfergus Marina at 7pm. Guest speaker will be Michael Owen, Senior Drug & Alcohol Co-ordinator, Northern Drugs & Alcohol Co-ordination Team. This event is open to the general public. If you require any further details about the event please contact the CCDAAG office.
Drug Proofing Your Kid & Talking About Tough Issues courses: details of when these courses will run are available form the CCDAAG office in due course.
November:
Carrickfergus Community Information Event: this event will raise awareness of local drug & alcohol services and provide the community with an opportunity to access information and ask questions. The event will take place on the 10th of November (7-9pm) in the Leisure Centre, Carrickfergus.
